Product Manager

About the Position


We are looking to expand our team with a Product Manager Lead to help refine and drive our product vision and strategy, and to ensure on-time delivery of our product releases. This position will report directly to the CEO and the two will work closely together.


The key responsibilities are to


At QRA, we empower our product team to solve hard problems in ways that our customers love, and work for our business. The core product team consists of our Product Manager, our Product Designer, and our Engineering Team. This cross-functional team works closely together. Other key internal relationships include our Customer Success Lead for front-line intelligence and sourcing customer interviews, our Marketing Lead for product messaging and positioning, and our CEO with whom the Product Manager will formulate, refine, and drive product vision and strategy across multiple time horizons. 

We staff our product team with the skills necessary to come up with effective solutions that are valuable (our customers choose to buy or use), viable (the solution works within the many constraints of our business), usable (users can figure out how to use) and feasible (our engineers have the skills and technology to implement). 


The Product Designer is accountable for ensuring the solution is usable; The Engineering Team is accountable for ensuring the solution is feasible; the Product Manager is accountable for ensuring the solution is both valuable and viable. 

This means that the Product Manager must contribute to the product team a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the business; constraints from marketing, sales, service, finance, legal and privacy. The Product Manager must also contribute a deep knowledge of our users and customers, as our customers engage with our product. This data needs to be collected both quantitatively and qualitatively. Finally, the Product Manager is expected to track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to the product and the product vision. 


While each member of the product team may be accountable for a specific risk, we look for product managers that understand that consistent innovation is the result of each member of the product team contributing their passion and their ideas. The Product Manager must collaborate closely with out Product Designer and our engineers to discover effective solutions, and then work together to deliver those solutions to market. They must possess significant leadership capabilities and, very importantly, must be a remarkable verbal and written communicator; they must recognize that deep and careful listening is a part of communication. 


While we empower our product teams to find the best solutions to relevant problems, we also hold the team accountable to the results. Shipping is necessary, but not sufficient. We look for product managers that are not afraid of signing up for results, even when this means they have to work through others to achieve the necessary results. 

This position, is an individual contributor role. You will need to influence your teammates, colleagues, stakeholders, and executives, through strong communication and the use of data and logic.
